Dr. Tabak often replies, “Daily disposable soft lenses.” Daily disposables are designed for a single day’s use then removed and disposed of.
What are the advantages of daily disposable lenses?
• Convenience: No cleaning or storage required.
• Comfort: Because there is less protein buildup on the lenses, there is less eye irritation even late into the day.
• Healthiest: Exposure to dust and allergens reduces the oxygen permeability of soft contact lenses. Eyes need plenty of oxygen to stay comfortable, clear, and healthy.
Common signs that your eyes aren’t getting enough oxygen:
• Red, bloodshot eyes
• Itchy, irritated eyes
• Blurry vision
Daily disposable lenses are a good choice for many patients, including those needing correction for astigmatism and bifocal lenses, but not for everyone. Some conditions do not allow for daily disposable lenses.
If you are dissatisfied with the vision or comfort of your current contact lenses, please call the office for a consultation with Dr. Tabak.
